Websites and SEO for builders and trades
A page for each job you want more of, proof of your work, your accreditations where people can check them, and a quote form that takes two minutes. Then monthly search work, so the next job comes from Google rather than another lead site taking a cut.
The problem
When someone needs a fence, a bathroom or a rewire, they search the job and the town. The top of that page is usually the map, then the lead sites, then a handful of local firms with proper websites. A trade with no site, or a single page with a phone number, is not in that list at all, so they end up paying a lead site for the same customer.
A good trade site is simple: a page for every job you want more of, real photos of your work, your accreditations, the areas you cover, and a fast way to ask for a quote. Google can rank each of those job pages for its own search. That is work you do not pay commission on.
What we build
Google ranks pages, not businesses. So every service you want more of gets its own page, written for the words your customers actually type.
Searches the site is written for
[town] is wherever you work. Business and Full Launch add a page for each nearby town.
Fencing, decking, extensions, bathrooms, rewires, whatever you want more of. Each with what is involved, typical costs, photos and a quote button. One page per search.
Before and after pictures of real jobs, captioned with the job and the village. The strongest proof a trade can show.
Gas Safe, NICEIC, TrustMark, FMB or whatever you hold, with the number, so customers and Google can verify it.
Job type, postcode, photos and a rough budget in two minutes, landing in your inbox and on your phone.
A page for each town you work in, so you show up across your whole patch, not just your own postcode.
Why SEO first
A template site looks the same on day three hundred as on launch day. A site built around what tradesmen are searched for gets found a little more every month, and the monthly SEO keeps adding to it.
Customers finding you on Google, each month
The shape, not a forecast. Trades are different from salons: fewer enquiries, much bigger jobs, so one ranking page can be worth thousands a year.
A graph comparing two websites over their first year. The line for a site built for search starts flat and curves upward more steeply each month. The line for a template site rises a little at launch and then stays flat. The gap between them is the customers the first site finds on Google that the second one never sees.
A month of work for a tradesman, taken by the site while they were busy working.

A real build
New building company
A brand new building and carpentry business: domain, logo and a full website built from scratch so George could launch with everything ready.
"If you're in the trades and starting out on your own, give Curtis at Get You Booked a shout. Can't recommend him enough."
From the Google review
Rocket Builds is a friend's new business. The build is real; results will be added once it has run long enough to measure.
Growth goals
These are the targets we set with tradesmen on a monthly SEO plan. Nobody can promise a ranking, and we do not. What we promise is the work, and a plain-English report every month showing where you are against them.

Know-how
A logo is not proof. A registration number customers can check on the scheme's own site is. Gas engineers in particular should show their Gas Safe number.
Most trade jobs vary too much for fixed prices. A page explaining what drives the cost of, say, a fence, with typical ranges, ranks well and pre-qualifies the enquiry.
Stock photos of a perfect kitchen convince nobody. Your own before and after shots, captioned with the village, do.
Plenty of people would rather ring. The phone number sits on every page and taps to call on a phone.
Prices
Step one is the site, one-off, with the booking or quote system set up. Step two is optional: we keep it climbing every month. Most tradesmen start with Business.

Questions
Word of mouth still ends in a search. The person recommended to you looks you up before they ring, and if all they find is a phone number, a competitor with a proper site often gets the call. The site also wins work from people who have never heard of you.
Yes. The structure is the same for every trade: a page per job, your accreditations, your areas and a quote form. The wording and the searches change with the trade.
Usually as typical ranges with what drives the cost, rather than a fixed price list. It filters out time-wasters and those pages rank well for "how much does a ... cost" searches.
Starter is £395 for a sole trader. Business at £995 adds a page for each nearby town and a blog, and is what most trades pick. Full Launch at £1,495 includes branding and a month of search work.
Grow is £199 a month: project posts, Google profile updates, review requests and a monthly report. Run is £299 for twice the search work. Ads and SEO together is £495. No contracts.
