1. A booking system, not a phone number
This is the whole job. Her Fresha was set up properly: six treatments, three lengths each, real prices, her actual hours, and reminders that cut the people who forget. Every button on the site goes to it. A client who finds her at eleven at night can book without waking anybody.
2. A page per treatment instead of a scroll
The old site was one long page with four treatments on it, described in a sentence each. There are now six treatments with a page each, saying what the treatment is for, how long it runs, what it costs and who it suits. Someone searching "Thai herbal compress near me" lands on the answer rather than the top of a home page.
3. The hero shows the actual room
The old site's main image was a stock photograph of a woman in a treatment room that was not hers, in a room that was not hers. Anyone who had been to the studio would know. The new hero is her room, photographed as it is, and the alt text says so. When the whole argument is that a real person treats you in a real place, the picture has to be evidence rather than decoration.
4. Nothing on the page that does not earn its weight
No animation library, no loader, two font weights. The scroll effects are the browser's own. That is most of the difference between twenty-one seconds and two, and it is the reason the site scores 98 on a mid-range phone rather than 9.
5. Pages for the places people search from
Downham Market, King's Lynn, Wimbotsham and the villages around them, each named on a page rather than assumed. The old site said "Downham Market" once, in a heading, and left Google to guess the rest.
6. Copy that stays inside the rules
The old site said the massage was designed to relieve tension and reduce pain. Massage advertising in the UK cannot claim to treat, cure or reduce anything, and a complaint about it lands on the therapist rather than the person who wrote it. The new copy says what a treatment feels like and what it is suited to, which is both compliant and more persuasive.
What is still coming
The domain has not moved across yet, so the new site is live on its build address while she signs it off. A photograph of Nida in the room is the last piece; until it exists the site shows the room rather than a stand-in. This page gets a results section at ninety days with search impressions, clicks and bookings counted, whichever way they have gone.
